Bio-Fuels One alternative source of energy is BIO-FUEL and East Java has the potential to develop the following types:
  • Bio-Diesel, made of coconut or jarak plant, as an alternative to diesel fuel.
  • Bio-Ethanol, made of liquorices, cassave, corn, sweet potato, as an alternative to regular motor fuel.
  • Bio-Oil, made of animal fat, jarak, corn, or coconut, as an alternative to kerosene.
Ethanol Plants
23 plants/modules with a capacity of 20,000 liters per day - equal to 7,300,000 liters per year. The cost for a 20,000 liter/day plant is US$ 1,7 MM. The total cost for 23 plants is US$ 39,1 MM.
